Hello, I’m Julia — a wedding and portrait photographer based in Ithaca, New York, serving the Finger Lakes and Upstate New York. I create soft, refined photographs with a timeless, editorial feel while keeping the people and emotions in them natural and real.

With nearly a decade of experience photographing weddings and people, I’ve learned when to offer a little direction and when to simply let a moment unfold. My wedding photography has been published in The New York Times.

Before photography became my full-time path, I studied architecture, which shaped the way I see composition, light, balance, and space. I still carry that perspective into every wedding day — from carefully composed portraits to the small details and quiet moments happening in between.

My approach is a blend of gentle guidance and documentary storytelling. I’ll help with posing, light, and direction when you need it, but I never want your photographs to feel stiff or overly staged. I want you to feel comfortable enough to forget about the camera for a while and simply be present with the people you love.

I’m drawn to soft light, beautiful architecture and spaces, thoughtful details, blooming gardens, and genuine connection. But more than anything, I’m drawn to the little moments that make a wedding feel like yours.
